The short answer: a 4 tier wedding cake cost in Utah starts at $875 at Sweet E’s, 85 servings of fully custom design, and reaches $1,075 for my largest four-tier size. Five-tier cakes begin at $1,150 and crown out at $1,850 for a 210-serving showpiece. The final figure is shaped by your design details, delivery location, and 3% sales tax.

Final pricing is determined by design, delivery location, and 3% sales tax, and if your plans are closer to two or three tiers, I keep the same transparency on my two-tier and three-tier guides.

What Shapes a 4 Tier Wedding Cake Cost

Design detail. Hand-piped texture, pleats, pressed and sugar florals, painted finishes, four tiers means four times the canvas, and intricate work across all of it is where the investment grows beyond the starting price. A quietly elegant cake with a single gesture of detail will sit closer to the starting number than a fully ornamented design.

Structure and height. Individual tiers run about 5 inches tall, so a four-tier cake stands roughly 20 inches before the stand and florals, five tiers, around 25. Cakes at that scale are engineered, not just stacked: internal supports, a considered base, and a build plan that survives the drive to your venue.

Delivery and setup. A cake this size is always delivered and styled on site by me, and that service is quoted by location. I’m based in Provo and deliver across all of Utah, from Salt Lake ballrooms to mountain venues, and I travel for destination weddings.

Do You Really Need Four Tiers?

Honestly, not always, and I’ll tell you so. A grand cake earns its place when the guest list and the room call for it: 85 or more guests, tall ceilings, a cake table with presence.
