Most couples invest $650 to $1,200 in their Snowpine Lodge wedding cake, plus mountain delivery quoted for your date. Snowpine sits at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Alta, about an hour from my Provo studio, and I deliver and style every cake on site.

The ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows onto the mountains, and the lodge is ski-in and ski-out at Alta. The cakes below include ones I delivered to Snowpine, alongside others from mountain weddings.

Designing a Cake for Snowpine Lodge

Snowpine is the newer, sleeker room in Alta, and there I go quieter and cleaner: ivory and architectural, with one considered detail, because the view out the window is the decor. Gold-painted mountains, a soft blush, or a single palette knife floral are about as far as I push it.

Elevation changes buttercream. It sets harder and dries faster, so mountain cakes are made a touch softer than valley ones and finished on site. Canyon delivery means tiers ride separately and I arrive early, which matters in winter.

How far is Snowpine Lodge from your studio?

About an hour from my Provo studio, at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Tiers travel separately and I arrive early to assemble and style.

Does altitude affect a wedding cake?

Yes. Buttercream sets harder and dries faster at elevation, so I make mountain cakes a touch softer and finish them on site.

How much does a Snowpine Lodge wedding cake cost?

Most couples invest $650 to $1,200, plus mountain delivery quoted for your date. Two tiers for 20 to 60 servings start from $450, three tiers for 48 to 115 from $650, and four and five tiers for 85 to 210 from $875, before design detail and 3% sales tax.

Do you deliver in winter?

Yes, with the canyon road conditions in mind. I plan extra time for winter deliveries and stay in touch with your venue on the day.
