Celebration Cakes
A quinceanera cake has one job: to look like her, from the crown down.
Custom quinceanera cakes in Utah from my Provo studio start from $450 for two tiers (20 to 60 servings) and from $650 for three tiers (48 to 115 servings), and most tiered designs land between $650 and $1,200 once the crown, gold detail and flowers are added. Every cake is designed one-on-one with the family, baked fresh for the date, and delivered and styled on site anywhere in Utah, from Salt Lake City to Payson.
The two cakes below are real quinceanera cakes I delivered: a three-tier emerald marble cake with a gold crown for a celebration at Payson Memorial Park, and a white and burgundy quilted three-tier with a gold XV topper. They are pictured in full and in close-up so you can see how the color, the gold work and the flowers are built. The numbers on this page come straight from my pricing page and my guide to custom cake prices in Utah.

How I Design Quinceanera Cakes in Utah
A quinceanera cake is usually planned around three things the family already has: her dress color, her crown or tiara, and the party palette. I start there. The emerald cake above matched a green and gold party down to the balloon arch, with the marbling in the buttercream picking up the dress and a jeweled crown sitting on top. The burgundy cake took its quilting and gold scrollwork from the XV theme and kept the top tier white so the topper and the roses had room to breathe.
From there the design is yours to shape. Tier count sets the servings, and the servings follow the guest list, so a party of 80 to 100 usually lands on three tiers. Color can run through the whole cake or sit on one tier. Gold comes in as leaf, as painted scrollwork or as quilting pearls, the same techniques I use on my gold wedding cakes. Flowers can be hand-shaped sugar flowers, piped buttercream blooms or fresh stems styled at delivery, and the crown or XV topper is the family’s to supply or mine to source with you.
| Design Element | What It Looks Like | Seen On |
|---|---|---|
| Color-matched buttercream | Marbled, ombre or solid tiers in the dress or party color | Emerald marble cake |
| Gold detail | Gold leaf flecks, painted scrollwork, quilting with gold pearls | Both cakes |
| Crown or XV topper | A jeweled crown or gold roman numerals on the top tier | Both cakes |
| Flowers | White sugar roses and anemones, or burgundy and white roses | Both cakes |
Quinceanera Cake Pricing
Tiered quinceanera cakes follow the same pricing as every tiered cake I make. Two tiers start from $450 for 20 to 60 servings, three tiers from $650 for 48 to 115, and four and five tiers from $875 for 85 to 210. Those starting prices describe size, not design. Gold leaf, hand-shaped sugar flowers, marbling and a custom color all add studio time, so a cake like the two pictured lands above the starting price for its size, and you receive a written quote before anything is baked. Delivery is quoted by location, Utah sales tax of 3% applies, and a tasting is $50 for three cakes and three fillings, complimentary with orders over $300.
For a smaller court-and-family gathering, a single-tier cake runs $150 to $250 for 6 to 38 servings, and cupcakes from $42 a dozen or mini cupcakes from $24 a dozen can carry the party beyond the cutting cake. My birthday and celebration cakes page covers those sizes.

Questions About Quinceanera Cakes
How much does a quinceanera cake cost in Utah?
Two-tier quinceanera cakes start from $450 for 20 to 60 servings, three tiers from $650 for 48 to 115, and four and five tiers from $875 for 85 to 210. Gold detail, sugar flowers and custom color are quoted on top of the tier price, delivery is quoted by location, and Utah sales tax of 3% applies.
Can the cake match her dress and crown?
Yes. Bring the dress color, the crown or XV topper and photos of the decor to the design consultation. I match the shade in buttercream, add gold as leaf, scrollwork or quilting, and leave room on the top tier for the crown.
Do you deliver quinceanera cakes in Salt Lake City?
Yes. I deliver and set up anywhere in Utah from my Provo studio, including Salt Lake City, Utah County and the surrounding valleys. Delivery is quoted by location when you inquire.
How far in advance should we order?
As soon as the date and venue are set. Popular weekend dates fill first, and the tasting and design consultation both happen before the cake is confirmed, so earlier gives us more room to design.
Can we add cupcakes or a dessert table?
Yes. Cupcakes are from $42 a dozen, mini cupcakes from $24 a dozen and truffles from $30 a dozen, and they can match the cake’s colors so the whole table reads as one design.
