Designing a Cake for Walker Farms
A white room flatters texture. Combed or ribbed buttercream, soft piped swags, pearls, and palette knife florals all photograph beautifully against those walls, and the window light shows every ridge of the finish. A semi-naked cake suits the farm setting too, especially for a summer pavilion dinner.
The venue holds up to 150 seated guests, so most Walker Farms couples choose two or three tiers, sometimes with a kitchen cake for extra servings. If the cake will sit outside under the pavilion, I plan the frosting and the delivery time around the weather.

Can the cake sit outside under the pavilion?
Yes, with planning. I time the delivery and choose the frosting with the weather in mind, and I set up shaded whenever the pavilion allows it.
