The Spring Collection
Pressed petals, painted blooms and soft color for a Utah spring.
Spring wedding cakes are lighter in color and brighter in flavor: pressed and hand-painted florals, sugar flowers in blush and peach, fresh blooms styled at delivery, and fillings like lemon curd and strawberry mousse. Most couples invest $650 to $1,200 in their wedding cake. Two tiers start from $450 for 20 to 60 servings, three tiers from $650 for 48 to 115, and the design you choose moves the number from there.
Every cake on this page is one I designed, baked and delivered here in Utah. You can see more of them in the spring awakening gallery, check every tier figure in the 2026 price guide, or browse the full Utah wedding cakes hub.

What Makes Spring Wedding Cakes Feel Like Spring
Spring is the season for soft color. Blush, peach, butter yellow, lavender and sage all sit beautifully against white buttercream, and they echo the blooms most spring bouquets are built from.
The second thing is lightness. A spring cake usually carries more white space than a fall or winter design, with the color gathered into one feature: a pressed-flower band, a painted tier, or a cascade that starts near the top and trails down one side. The eye gets somewhere to rest, and the flowers read as flowers rather than decoration.
The third is movement. Ribbon that looks caught by a breeze, petals that look scattered rather than placed, a textured finish that catches afternoon light. A spring cake should feel a little alive. When the date slides into June and beyond, my guide to summer wedding cakes picks up the brighter palettes and plans for the heat.
Spring Wedding Cake Designs I Return To
These are the spring finishes you will see across my work, each one shown on a real cake in the carousel above.
| Design | What It Looks Like | Why It Suits Spring |
|---|---|---|
| Pressed florals | Real petals and small wildflowers pressed flat into the buttercream, like a botanical print | Delicate and specific, and easy to match to a bouquet palette |
| Hand-painted florals | Blooms painted directly onto white tiers in soft washes of pink and lavender | Color without bulk, and no two cakes come out alike |
| Sugar flowers | Hand-made roses and blooms in blush, peach and cream | They hold their shape through a long afternoon and come in any color |
| Fresh flower cascade | Real stems chosen together and styled on the cake at delivery | The cake repeats your bouquet and feels part of the florals |
| Ribbon and soft texture | Flowing ribbon or a textured buttercream finish with a few blooms | Quiet and romantic, and beautiful in natural light |
The pressed-wildflower cake at the Bright Building in Provo and the hand-painted cake at Arbor Manor show how far a little color can go on white buttercream. At River Bridge, red anemones, daisies and wild greenery turned a simple textured cake into something that looked gathered from a spring field. If you are deciding between the two kinds of blooms, my guide to sugar flowers or fresh flowers walks through the choice.
Spring Wedding Cake Flavors from My Menu
Spring flavors lean bright and fruit-forward, and my menu already has several that suit the season. Lemon raspberry pairs lemon cake with raspberry puree and raspberry cream cheese. Strawberry shortcake is vanilla cake with strawberry mousse. Lemon curd works as a filling under almost any light cake, and pina colada (coconut cake, pineapple curd and coconut buttercream) is a sunny choice for a garden reception.
If you want one tier to feel classic, vanilla bean with vanilla bean buttercream is a lovely anchor next to a brighter flavor. The full list is on my flavor menu, and the guide on how to choose wedding cake flavors walks through pairing tiers. Dairy-free and gluten-friendly options are available, contact me for flavor details. My cakes contain wheat, dairy and eggs and are made in a kitchen where nuts and soy are present.
Planning a Spring Cake Around Utah Weather
A Utah spring can be warm and bright one weekend and cool and breezy the next, so I plan the cake around your reception rather than the forecast. For an outdoor reception, a covered or shaded cake table is the single most useful thing you can plan. It keeps direct sun off the buttercream and keeps petals and ribbon out of the wind.
I time delivery to land after your tables are set and before guests arrive, then style the cake on site, fresh flowers included, so every bloom looks just placed when your photographer walks in. I have driven more than 19,000 delivery miles from my Provo studio, and wedding cake delivery is quoted simply by your venue’s location.
What Spring Details Add to the Investment
Tier count and servings set the base: two tiers from $450 for 20 to 60 servings, three tiers from $650 for 48 to 115, and four and five tiers from $875 for 85 to 210. The design is added on top of that. Sugar flowers are shaped by hand, painted florals take studio hours, and pressed-flower work is placed piece by piece, so most spring designs with this kind of detail land above the starting price for their size.
Delivery location and Utah’s 3% sales tax set the final number. Every tier and serving figure is itemized in the wedding cake price guide, and I quote your design in full after we sketch it together.

“She let us try different frostings and cakes to make sure we chose the perfect cake. We got the chocolate raspberry and lemon raspberry. I am not joking when I say it was the best cake I have ever had!”

Spring Wedding Cake Questions
What colors work best for spring wedding cakes?
Soft, light colors against white buttercream: blush, peach, butter yellow, lavender and sage. I usually gather the color into one feature, such as pressed flowers, a painted tier or a floral cascade, and keep the rest of the cake white so the design feels fresh rather than busy.
Can you put fresh flowers on a spring wedding cake?
Yes. Fresh flowers can be used beautifully on a wedding cake, but not every bloom belongs near food, so we choose the stems together during the design consultation. I style them on the cake at delivery so they look fresh when your guests arrive. Sugar flowers are the alternative when you want blooms that look the same all night.
What are good spring wedding cake flavors?
Bright, fruit-forward flavors suit spring. From my menu, lemon raspberry, strawberry shortcake, lemon curd fillings and pina colada are natural spring choices, and vanilla bean makes a classic anchor tier. The $50 tasting lets you try three cakes and three fillings before you decide.
How much does a spring wedding cake cost in Utah?
Most couples invest $650 to $1,200 in their wedding cake. Two tiers start from $450 for 20 to 60 servings, three tiers from $650 for 48 to 115, and four and five tiers from $875 for 85 to 210. Detailed spring work such as sugar flowers or hand painting usually lands above the starting price for its size, and delivery location and 3% sales tax set the final price.
How early should we book a spring wedding cake?
As early as you can. I take a limited number of cakes each season, and my 2026 to 2027 calendar is open and filling, with popular months going first. Send your date through the inquiry form and I will check it as soon as your inquiry comes through.
